Welcome to the opportunity of a lifetime! Above Alaska Aviation is now accepting resumes for a Certified Flight Instructor. This is not your typical "time building" flight instructor job. It is the chance to be part of an exciting team while flying in the wilds of Alaska. All of our training, including our primary flight training, is accomplished in tail wheel aircraft. That being the case, we are specifically looking for instructors with tailwheel time.

While we are considering all levels of experience, the ideal applicant would have:

~1500 hours total time
~300 hours of tailwheel time
~50 hours of tailwheel instructing time

While not instructing, there is opportunity to get hands on paid experience in the maintenance shop, where we typically have a restoration project underway.

We provide our clients with one on one training in a self paced training environment. We are looking for an instructor who is self motivated, professional, punctual, innovative, dedicated to the needs of our students, and can perform in a high paced environment with safety as the primary goal. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, introductory flights, tail wheel endorsements, private pilot students, and ski flying.
