Alaska Ski Flying

During the winter months, once we have a steady snow pack, we put our aircraft on straight skis.

This makes access to new landing areas open to nearly endless possibilities.

We can now land on remote roads, frozen lakes and rivers, in addition to the standard runways located throughout Alaska.

Ski flying can be a true challenge and adventure. Predicting landing conditions is an aviation experience like no other. From flat light, to overflow conditions, to snow depth and snow drift shelves, our instructors are experienced and ready to show you how it is done.

For a truly exciting and educational experience, enroll in our winter ski training package today!

Advanced scheduling required. We typically operate our ski flying February and March.
The Ski Course consists of 2-3 hours of ground instruction per day and 5-6 hours of flight training.
